Purpose
As a subcommittee of the pastorate, the Mission & Ministry team represents our congregation in various mission fields across India—praying, supporting, and staying connected with missionaries and local communities.
When We Meet
The team meets periodically (often over Zoom) to review mission updates, plan activities, and coordinate communication with missionaries and partner organisations.
Mission Fields
We currently support fifteen missionaries serving in Karnataka, Telangana, Odisha, Kerala, Andaman, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and other regions, through quarterly financial support and regular prayer.
Key Initiatives
Back to School kits, Satyanagar Edavaka Mission, Christmas Shoe Box, Mission Convention, chaplaincy support and other special projects are coordinated through this team.
Missionary Support
We partner with dioceses and organisations to support missionaries through regular financial assistance, prayer, and periodic visits. Updates and specific needs are shared with the congregation to encourage informed, committed support.
Back to School & Compassion
Each year, school kits and essentials are provided to children in rural and tribal mission fields— helping bridge gaps in basic resources and demonstrating Christ’s love in practical ways.
Many of these initiatives are enabled through sponsorships and generous contributions from members.
Satyanagar Edavaka Mission
Our own mission field at Satyanagar is served through monthly Holy Communion, pastoral care, children’s ministry (including VBS), music support, and fellowship events such as Christmas gatherings in partnership with EMY.
Christmas Shoe Box
Hundreds of Christmas gifts are prayerfully prepared and distributed each year in Bangalore and multiple mission locations. Members sponsor boxes, pack gifts, and join distribution visits that bring joy to children and families.
Mission Convention
An annual Mission Convention brings missionaries and congregation together for Bible study, testimonies, worship, and fellowship, helping us hear first-hand what God is doing in the field and how we can respond.
Chaplaincy & Hospitality
Through chaplaincy bookmarks, welcome follow-up, and practical assistance, the team helps visitors, students, and temporary residents connect with the church and receive pastoral care during their time in the city.
